Why are there no golfers from the Mediterranean if some of the best golf courses are there?

I am working on a project for World History and I was wondering that question. I don't know anything about golf and it's a little difficult to look up a question like that. Does anyone have any idea? Why are there no golfers from the Mediterranean if some of the best golf courses are there? What?

Seve Ballesteros

Jose Maria Olazabal

Miguel Jimenez

Sergio Garcia

These guys are just from Spain! The Mediterranean is comprised of 11 other countries too. And what about the many top ranked female golfers from the Med too.

Better do some more serious studying for that project. It's easy to look up stuff like that. Get a list of the Mediterranean countries, then Google each country followed by the word "golfers".Why are there no golfers from the Mediterranean if some of the best golf courses are there?great answer scott, in addition, we just had a 16 yr old from italy in the masters who is turning pro in july. jean van de velde, one of the greatest all time blown leads in sports british open history, if not sports history. isnt rocco mediate from over there too?

There is a lot of talent that comes from the mediterranean. Why are there no golfers from the Mediterranean if some of the best golf courses are there?Constantino Rocco is Italian, how Mediterranean does it get?
