How much for golf weekend down Myrtle Beach?

Some of my friends and I are thinking of setting up a Myrtle Golf outing but have no idea how much it will cost per person. Aside from the flight, how much would someone expect to spend for couple rounds of golf and a fun weekend down in Myrtle? How much for golf weekend down Myrtle Beach?I would put aside about $500. Just in case. Things are more expensive in Myrtle, plus sales tax is 9%. You'll be paying sometimes in excess of $120 for a tee time, but if you're only going for a weekend, you should be fine. That will leave you a lot of dough for booze, food, and a few strip clubs if you wanna hit them.

The boardwalk is a really nice family-style place but it has a lot of bar areas too. Don't forget to hit Martin's Superstore while you're down there too. HUUUUUUUGE golf store. Not only did they aerate their greens Sept. 9th but only four greens are puttable. They have rows of sod on several greens.

Go to Golf Dimensions across the street. They have better prices anyway. Just got back from there! Try Litchfield and Washesaw East.

It depends.

Without knowing when you are going to the Grand Strand (rates are cheaper in the summer but spike up in the fall and spring), it's hard to say. In other words, if you go in October expect to pay more for golf than you would in July.

Weekdays are cheaper than weekends.

If you don't mind playing twilight (afternoons) you can get cheaper green fees but run the risk of running out of daylight.

They have 100+ courses that run the gamut from the high end to the low end and in between. You can play some of the low-end courses in the $40-and-up range, and go as high as $200++.

If you're renting a car you need to get either a minivan or large SUV (if you end up with a compact you will struggle to fit two travel golf bags in the trunk, and if it's more than two guys, you've got a problem).

There are numerous online outfits that can give you price comparisons of courses; just plug the dates in and you can get a comparison of courses, rates, etc.

I won't post a link because I don't want to give you the impression I'm soliciting for a specific outfit (I'm not); just google Myrtle Beach Golf/Myrtle Beach tee times and go from there.

Best of luck!
