How old do you need to be to drive a golf buggy?

I was driving my golf buggy and i got pulled up by the security and found out i had to drive on the yellow line and had to have a license. i went home and checked all websites including queensland transport and i cant find anything.How old do you need to be to drive a golf buggy?im pretty sure you just have to be on your red P plates
