Is it cool to wear a name brand golf hat, or is it just being an annoying walking advertisement?

I was going to buy a golf hat, but then I was wondering, some people might just find it annoying. What is your guy's opinion?



P.S. Does it make a difference if I actually play the brand of club I get a hat for? For example, I play King Cobra clubs, but I really like a TaylorMade hat.

i had the same problem with tennis, i had a wilson racket but a head bag...nobody really cared

for the average everyday golfers its fine to wear whatever brand you want even if it doesnt match your clubs. for the more serious golfers like high school, college or professsional its a different story, go get your hat... taylormade is more cutting edge anyway

At my age I don't think anything I do is considered cool. Buy the hat you like and wear it

if I'm going to advertise for a brand that is what i will be playing. Yea I know some brands have better looking and fitting hats. that's when you buy a hat that just says GOLFER. I play with snake eyes brand clubs and they have a neat looking hat too
Unless you are being sponsored by a golf company it doesn't matter what you wear. Lets say you have a titleist driver, taylormade woods, adams hybrids, nike irons, cleveland wedges, and an Odyssey putter. Nobody will care if you wear a PING hat.
Neither. My wife buys me a hat and I wear it.
i don't think that it would be annoying at all i think its just letting people know what you like and yes you could have cobra clubs and a taylor made hat i have callaway clubs and i sometimes wear a nike hat.

But, no, it is not annoying. Sport the hat, buddy.
I wear different brands all the time, or teams I like (for example: St. Louis Cardinals, baseball). I like wearing a cap during a round. Whether or not it is a brand-name hat, it doesn't bother me.
