Can a boxcutter instead of a draw knife be used to remove an old grip when changing golf club grips?

Also, is a catch basin necessary when changing golf club grips? Can a boxcutter instead of a draw knife be used to remove an old grip when changing golf club grips?Go for it. They also sell hook-styled replacement blades... I'd recommend those if you're regripping a graphite-shafted club (you won't be able to ruin the graphite fibers that way).

You could substitute a cheap paint tray for the catch basin. Golfsmith offers a basin that funnels solvent into a bucket (sold separately), but why waste the money? Can a boxcutter instead of a draw knife be used to remove an old grip when changing golf club grips?would think so
