Golf holes used to be bogey 4/5 etc. When and why did it change to apr?When did golf hole scores change from bogey to par and why?I don't like golf but as far as i know they haven't changed it Par is if you put it in the required shots,bogey is if you go over the shots it should have took you for par

It changes to bogey from par when you go over par. Under par is birdie, eagle and Albatross respectively as you get lower than par. Par has always been the score to shoot for in stroke golf.
